Dr. Dara Parvin is a Pacific Northwest native
having spent most of his life in Washington and Oregon. He grew up on
Mercer Island across the lake from Seattle and attended the University of
Washington for both his undergraduate and medical education. In 1993 he
graduated with a medical doctorate degree in the top 5% of his class and went on
to an orthopaedic surgery residency at University of California Davis in
Sacramento, California.
Dr. Parvin then completed a comprehensive one year Spine Surgery
Fellowship program at the Special Institute for Spine Surgery/ Kenton D.
Leatherman Spine Fellowship in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Parvin is an Assistant Clinical
Professor for University of California, Davis, Department of Orthopaedics. He devotes the majority of his time to his Spine Practice in Coos Bay, Oregon.
Dr. Parvin and his family moved to Coos Bay, Oregon where he established his
spine surgery practice in 1999. He founded the Oregon Coast Spine
Institute, LLC in December, 2001. Dr. Parvin served as Chairman of the
Orthopaedic Department at Bay area Hospital during the two years spanning
2002-2003.
